With over 15 years of expertise, he has conducted over 150 kidney transplants. He has worked as a consultant urologist at the Ramayya Urology Hospital and Remedy Multispeciality Hospital in Hyderabad as well as a pool officer in urology. He also served as an assistant professor and then an associate professor in the department of urology at the Shri Aurobindo Institute of Medical Sciences in Indore.

He earned honours in anatomy, biochemistry, pharmacology, obstetrics & gynaecology, and preventive & social medicine, in addition to passing the MBBS on his first attempt with a score of 67.67 per cent. He was selected in the AIIMS pre-PG exam and placed 25th overall in the country for the AI-Pre PG exam. If this wasn’t enough, he also placed first overall in India in the MCH entrance exam. On his first try, he also passed the M.S. (General Surgery) exam.
